Experts at spotting costs and errors hidden below the surface.
Today, approximately 10% of all ocean invoices contain errors. Adding to this dilemma of incorrect billing is the fact that ocean freight rates keep changing and getting more complex. On top of all that, ocean bills are generally paper in nature, which can be more costly to process.
At Data2Logistics, we’re experienced in every aspect of processing ocean bills, from collecting to normalizing data, to auditing and coding, to payment and advisory services. More importantly, we’re experts at spotting errors and identifying innovative ways to save on costs.
We capture critical container information that can allow shippers to report on container utilization by lane. Each of the several cost components are captured, allocated, and normalized. We now aggressively work with ocean carriers to engage in electronic invoicing (EDI) relationships, bucking the trend of paper-based billing to increase audit and reporting accuracy. Currently, we have active EDI relationships with over 27 ocean carriers.
